Evans forges victory over the Steelbacks in crushing display - Tuesday 19th June

Laurie Evans lit up Edgbaston with a devastating final flurry as the Warwickshire Bears completed a sensational comeback against the Northants Steelbacks.

Batting first Northants posted a respectable total after Cameron White (60) hit four boundaries and two sixes to bring the team's score to 150. In the second half it seemed that the Steelbacks were cruising to a comfortable victory, restricting the hosts to 85-4 in the 13th over. However, Warwickshire's Evans (68) sprang to life and destroyed the bowling attack with nine boundaries in ten deliveries to help his side record their first win in four attempts in the 2012 Friends Life t20 tournament.
