Terms and Conditions
The competition is open to UK residents only. Not open to the employees of any of the Friends Provident Group or their families.
To enter, email your photograph to photo@friendsprovident.co.uk.
The competition will run until midnight on Thursday 31st July 2008 and all entries must reach Friends Provident by this date. The winner will be announced by midday on Friday 1st August
All entries must be the entrant's own original work and must not have been previously published anywhere.
Entrants warrant and undertake that photographs submitted will not infringe intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party. Entrants must ensure that any person or persons whose image is used in an entry has given valid consent for the use of their image or has waived any rights they may have in the image submitted. Where such person is under 16, the consent of that person's parent or guardian must be obtained. Failure to adequately demonstrate such consent to the satisfaction of Friends Provident may result in the entrant's disqualification and forfeiture of any prize.
The prize for the winning entry is for two tickets to the 2008 Friends Provident Trophy Final and a cricket bat signed by the 2008 finalists (to be sent after the final on 16th August). No alternative prizes, cash or otherwise will be available
There will be a runner up prize of a cricket bat signed by the 2008 finalists.
The winning entry will be the one that in the opinion of the Friends Provident judges most aptly captures the atmosphere and excitement of the Friends Provident Trophy.
The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry, add to or amend any rules, or to cancel the whole or part of the competition.
The names of the winners will be published on the website - as well as being contacted by email.
In consideration of Friends Provident judges agreeing to consider the entry, each entrant grants to Friends Provident an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence for the full period of copyright to publish or otherwise use the entry in any format, including without limitation print and electronic format.
Friends provident may cut, edit, crop or arrange the photograph as it sees fit necessary.
You warrant to Friends Provident that any photographs you submit are not obscene, offensive, defamatory of any person or otherwise illegal.
No responsibility is taken for entries lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete due to server functions or failures, virus, technical problems or any causes outside of Friends Provident's control.
Friends Provident shall not be responsible for the return of the entries.
Winners may be required to take part in promotional activity and Friends Provident reserve the right to use the names and addresses of winners, their photographs and any media submitted by them in relation to the promotion in any publicity.
The promotion will be governed by English law.
