Friends Life has a heritage which can be dated back over 200 years and today we have over 5 million customers.

We have brought together three large businesses, consolidating them to increase our efficiency and help ensure that you can rely on the best possible support now and in the future.

Our aim is to understand our customers' needs and to use our expertise to provide products and services to help. For example we know you don't like filling in long medical application forms, so we've developed tele-underwriting for our Protect+ products. You can speak to someone on the phone at a convenient time and they do the filling in for you.

It's little things like this that make a difference. We always aim to make it easy for you to deal with us. That's why in some areas we use a Promise Delivery System that keeps track of the commitments we make to you on the phone. So you can be confident we will do what we say we will do.

But making things easier and keeping our commitments is just the start, we also want you to feel that your relationship with us is one worth having. Sesame Bankhall Group

The UK's largest appointed representative network and advisor support services provider that operates the following brands:

Sesame Bankhall Group was formed in 2009, bringing together the leading IFA network, support service provider and mortgage club to create the UK's largest distributor of professional support services to financial advisers.

Sesame is the largest Appointed Representative Network in the UK, with almost 1,300 firms.

Bankhall is the largest provider of support services to 1,500 directly regulated adviser firms.

PMS operates the biggest mortgage club for directly regulated mortgage brokers.

The combined group is also the largest intermediary distributor of mortgages in the UK, with over 26 billion of mortgage applications in 2011.

Friends Provident International

Friends Provident International provides competitive life assurance, pensions and investment products for Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the UK and other selected markets. Friends Provident International has more than 30 years experience of delivering financial solutions and has offices in the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Isle of Man. Distribution is primarily through independent financial advisers and strategic partnerships.

Lombard

Lombard International Assurance S.A. is Luxembourg's leading life assurance company with sales capabilities spread across 11 markets. Lombard is part of the International Division within the Friends Life group and has a branch office in Switzerland. Lombard is a truly pan-European provider of unit-linked life assurance offering wealth planning solutions to high and ultra-high net worth individuals.

Lombard pioneered privatbancassurance solutions that use life assurance as a sophisticated financial planning tool incorporating the invaluable benefit of Luxembourg's solid insurance policyholder protection regime. Lombard does not market directly to its end clients but collaborates with a strong international distribution network of private banks, wealth managers and independent financial advisers.

fpb AG

In 2007 financial partners business AG (fpb AG) was appointed by Friends Provident International to handle its sales and distribution services in Germany, and in December 2009 became part of the Group.  fpb AG provides a complete service to German independent financial advisers from setting up the partnership with them, supporting the sales process through to handling administration processes. The aim for fpb AG is to build long–term partnerships with qualified intermediaries through an experienced team of highly trained consultants who have an excellent knowledge of the market.  Simple, uncomplicated, highly professional – this is fpb's vision of Partner Service.
