The value of investments can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed. This means you could get back less than you invest.
With-profits policies are designed for the medium to long term, ideally at least ten years. If you have a with-profits pension, bond or savings policy, we pool your money with that of other customers in one of our with-profits funds and that money is invested in, some or all of, a mixture of shares, bonds, property and money market investments. The value of your with-profits policy can grow through yearly bonuses (or interest rate) and, for most types of policy, the possibility of a 'final' bonus when your policy comes to an end, although future bonus (or interest) rates are not guaranteed.

Within the Friends Life group, we have a number of with-profits funds. Use the link below to check which one your policy is in.
We have developed a document called the Principles and Practices of Financial Management (PPFM) for each of our with-profits funds. These explain how we manage these funds
You can see these documents here: Principles and Practices of Financial Management (PPFM)
We’ve also produced consumer-friendly documents summarising these principles and practices: PPFM summaries.
Our with-profits funds are invested in, some or all of, a mixture of shares, bonds, property and money market investments. You can find out more about the mix of assets our funds have invested in and the funds’ past investment returns in our supplementary information and fund factsheets.
