What will happen when my policy reaches maturity?
You will receive a letter three to four weeks before maturity to provide you with an idea of what the value of your policy will be at maturity and what you'll need to do to claim the money.
If your policy is assigned because of a mortgage, we will write to you three months before your maturity date to check that our records are correct and the mortgage account number we have is the right one for you.
If your policy has more than one assignment against it, we'll ask you to contact us so we can discuss who the assignments are held with and if all the assignments still exist. It's important to note that we won't be able to pay out the maturity until any outstanding assignments have been released. This may lead to the payment being delayed.
